Background
Wegmans creates a series of outdoor banners for their seasonal food items every year. In the past, the banners have been loosely related, but the highlighted items generally follow their own look and feel.

Assignment
Develop a consistent theme and design approach that can be leveraged across every season.

Concept
We saught to highlight Wegmans priority items and dishes using inspirational messaging, great photography, and appropriate typography. We called it, “Celebration of Food.”

Creative Process
As an extension of Wegmans in-house creative team, we share all initial concepts, including sketches, mood boards, and copy options.

Mother Sauce
Wegmans partnered with celebrated Chef David Bouley to create a new "Mother Sauce," a rich, versatile sauce made from perfectly roasted vegetables that transforms everyday meals into chef-quality dishes.

Our Concept
“The Secret’s in the Sauce" showcases how easy it is to transform an everyday meal into a chef-quality meal.

Direction
We used top-down editorial photography and handcrafted typography to highlight the fresh vegetable ingredients behind the sauce.

Under the Tuscan Sun
Wegmans entered the booming Upstate New York wine market with their own private label Italian red blend, a Super Tuscan combining Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. 

Our Concept
Map Agency developed the launch campaign based on a versatile red wine for casual moments with friends and family, “a new taste of Tuscany." The idea is all about pairing high-quality with exceptional value.

Creative Direction
Close-up food photograpy shows that the wine pairs perfectly with weekday meals like pasta, pizza, and roasted meats. 

The chicken stop.

Challenge
Brand a new chicken destination within Wegmans stories that highlights their partnership with Bell & Evans.

Concept
“The Chicken Stop” is a premium destination. Like a chic bistro, the approach reflects the craft of Bell & Evans roasted chicken through a sophisticated destination design in store.

Deliverables
We branded the entire shopping experience, including a cart-stopping name, shelf signage, packaging labels, menus, and more.
